The Philadelphia New Year’s Day Tradition Ranked #1 Among National Holiday Parades
The holiday season is here and the much-anticipated Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia Mummers Parade has been named the best holiday parade in the country in the 2023 USA TODAY 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards.
The historic Philadelphia New Year’s Day parade will be celebrating its 124th year on January 1, 2024. The Mummers Parade is one of the longest-running traditions in the nation, featuring performances by participants from the Fancy, Wench, Comic and String Band divisions.
“This top honor is thanks to our loyal and amazing fan base from around the world who appreciate the talent and creativity that goes into each performance,” said Sam Regalbuto, President of the String Band Association. “We look forward to seeing all our loyal fans on Broad Street on New Year’s Day 2024."
